What Get’s Your Attention ….on a daily basis?
How many times have you felt frustrated because you were unable to find the time to do the things that are most important to you?
How long has it been since you were able to take a day or an afternoon and do just what you would like to do? Whether it is a quiet time sitting and reading you favorite book, a game of tennis, golf or just spending a leisurely afternoon with a friend, these times seem to get pushed to the side. Everyday millions of us juggle work and personal obligations trying to get ahead and just keep up with the things that are in front of us. Trying to catch those precious moments that mean so much to us seem to be slipping away. It is no wonder that there are so many self-help books and magazines with titles that promise to give us the fast and easy way to live a simple life. The desire to end the frustration of not having time for ourselves is high. Believe it or not, you do have a choice on how you live your life. You can continue to do the things the way you are doing them now, or you can do something about it. So, let’s examine some ways to do something about it. Let’s focus on 5 things you can do now to get your priorities straight. But, we will first need to look at how you spend your time now.
- What gets your attention on a daily basis?
- Where does all the time go?
- List how you spend your 24 hour.
Questions to ask yourself: What is most important to you at this time in your Life? What are the areas that need your attention? (Like Health, relationship, work or financial.) Where would you like to spend more time? Is there a dream or desire where you would like to spend more time? What needs less attention, More Attention? If you want to achieve more, spend more time on planning. So, let’s get back to those 5 things you can do:
- Always keep a 3 X 5 card with you and date it; place your top priority (goal) first.
- Only list the things you need to do that day.
- Be certain the “extra things like shopping or TV” are not eating in to your time that would interfere with reaching your goal.
- If procrastination is holding you back, take a look at why.
- Check in with you innate (inner) strengths. Ask yourself which of these would be a good tool to use to implement the task.
This list can be made on your computer, but be sure whatever method you use, you can access it where ever you are. “Consistent winners always develop a “blueprint” and consult with their best advisers. They ask lots of questions and get good input. They know that with a good “map” or checklist they can achieve almost any goal that others have achieved. Without a checklist, even a simple Thanksgiving dinner or family outing can easily become a disaster.” Phillip Humbert When you attend the Power Surge Teleseminars, you will be able to discover your inborn strengths, learn how to apply them to reach your dreams and end the frustrations when you say to yourself,”Shouda, Couda, Wouda!”
