Aging With Ease

Aging With Ease

The Land of AWE-some

Aging GracefullyAging With Ease & Grace

To some experts and mental health advocates, the phrase “Aging With Ease ” means to accept the changes that are coming your way as you grow older each day.

To some degree, they’re right. There’s no way to stop time completely. Would you really want to do that? To panic about every wrinkle or gray hair you see only bolsters the chances that you’ll succumb to depression and increased stress – which ultimately fast forwards the aging process.

To go to extreme lengths to look better, for example – like where you suddenly adopt the nickname “cat lady” because you’ve stretched your face with plastic surgery so far that you’re unrecognizable – isn’t necessary, or a good idea.

But there’s no reason you have to lie down and take it by trying to stop time and the old appearance as a result, either. There are many things that happen to us as we age – not because they’re inevitable – but because we don’t take precautions to ensure they never happen.

We go on about our day accepting defeat when it comes to aging and our looks, our energy, our optimism, etc. It doesn’t have to be that way. In my Guide to Aging With Ease and Growing Younger, you can discover many options you have to ease into the aging process.

These aren’t opportunities to slow down aging – they’re ways you can, eliminate signs of aging. What are some things that make you feel old right now?Aging With Ease

If it is seeing lines on your face, there are ways to reverse that. Is it a lack of energy in your body? Again, you can change that and you can bound out of bed every morning ready to take on the day.

What about your health? Do you have “old people” diseases like diabetes? That’s something (with type II anyway) that typically occurs in older people. But it’s reversible if you take steps to improve your health, and it can help you regain your youth!

Aging With Ease should be about loving yourself enough to treat your body and mind with kindness and compassion. It’s about looking in the mirror and seeing how you can love yourself more and take care of things that don’t have to happen.

It’s not about self-hatred and disgust in how you look or sadness about how you feel. Those thought are what cause that outcome. Start getting empowered so that you can shave 5, 10, or even 15 years off of your aging process. All it takes is knowledge and action, and you have access to both of those!

Life Experiences at 90

Nonagenarian = 90 years of life experience

Because creating beauty is an innate part of my nature, I was led to have a career as a make-up artist and skin care specialist.

It all started when I was a skinny, freckled faced kid. I was drawn to making Joci more beautiful. Then as a mature woman, I became a make-up artist and skin care specialist in Beverly Hills, I had the opportunity to study with some of the best European Skin Care Specialist in the U. S. All the while studying self-help books and taking every course I could on the subject of living a quality life. I began to realize that no matter what we see in the mirror and how beautiful and confident we appear on the outside it is never enough until we see the beauty inside ourselves.

That’s when I decided to become a Life Coach, to assist people to realize their signature inner strengths and elevate their life to the next level.

At middle age, when I started examining my purpose in life, I had no life map, therefore I did a great deal of stumbling around. My dreams and desires had always been around outer beauty and increasing my self-esteem.

My self-doubt started as a kid of about 6 years old, when I started the first grade. It was during the first Great Depression where a great many folks including my family, barely had enough to eat. My family lived in an “Oil Boom Town” in North Texas where there were also millionaires. Some of the kids were chauffeured to school in limousines and lived in big 2 story houses with white columned porches. That’s when I knew I wasn’t one of the millionaires.

My family lived in a small 4 room (not bedrooms, 4 rooms) house that was painted brown.

My! How I hated that house. But it did start a burning desire to make my surroundings as beautiful as I could.

I would pour over my aunt’s Better Homes and Gardens magazines, dreaming of the home I would have someday. I was a skinny, red headed, freckled faced kid and I felt very ugly. Of course my brother didn’t help matters by calling me “red and peg-leg.” I did not see the humor in it.

As soon as I was allowed, I started playing around with make-up to cover up those pesky freckles. These days freckles are considered cute. I even saw an advertisement where you could order fake freckles! So now one might say I have had a lifetime of being a make-up artist. This when I realized that what I concentrated on could become a reality and it did.

Fast-forward 44 years later; I was doing make-up for celebrities in Beverly Hills.

No one would  be surprised that another passion of mine is designing all sorts of things, container gardening and decorating my new apartment in a beautiful high rise retirement community. Those Better Homes and Gardens magazines were the seeds that were planted in my mind that have bloomed and blossomed.

These days as an nonagenarian, 90 years of life experience. I spend my days helping folks to discover their inborn signature inner strengths. I lead treasure hunts for them to uncover and activate their gifts and talents to elevate them to the level of success that they desire. I am known as a “Life Strength Detective.”

I want people to have the opportunity to learn that the quality of their life has a huge impact on the enjoyment of life. And, that there is a simple way to do this without it taking 35 years to achieve fulfillment.
